Sangsin-ri, Banpo-myeon, Gongju-si contains a well-preserved stone wall walkway where one can enjoy the beauty of nature, and it blends well with the rustic atmosphere of the neighborhood. For this reason, Sangsin-ri is also called the “village with a stone wall landscape.” Located just below the Gyeryongsan National Park, Sangsin-ri shows what a traditional village typically looked like, with elements of traditional culture including jangseung (traditional totem poles at the village entrance), sotdae (tall wooden poles with bird figurines on top), and menhirs.
